Prey vs. Predator
Because horses are prey animals, training them to accept our leadership in a way that is confidence building for the horse require a different way of thinking for us as predators. Establishing leadership in a herd of prey animals looks very different than it does in the predator world, and this shift in thinking can be cathartic.
